Orthodontist vs Dentist
What is an
An orthodontist is a specialist dental professional who is qualified in treating and aligning your teeth and jaws, to straighten your teeth and achieve facial symmetry for a beautiful smile.
What is the difference
Between the two?
Orthodontists and dentists both have a Bachelor of Dentistry; however, an orthodontist has gone on to study a Master’s in Orthodontics to specialise in this field of dental health.
When should I see an orthodontist?
If you have an orthodontic problem, such as crooked teeth or a misaligned jaw, that needs correcting with braces or Invisalign aligners, you need to see an orthodontist.
