Important message: Coronavirus
Dear Patients,
Government Clarification in healthcare settings: "Face coverings and social distancing measures will remain in place across healthcare settings so that the most vulnerable people can continue to safely attend healthcare settings for advice, care and treatment. And it is important for the public to continue to play their part when visiting NHS and care settings to help protect our staff and patients, particularly those who may be more vulnerable to infections."
When visiting a dentist face coverings, social distancing and hand washing remain fundamentals, not optional extras. Wider changes that take place on Monday will have no impact on how the public should approach accessing our services." British Dental Association.
As a practice we will continue to safeguard our staff and patients.
- Please do not attend our practice if you have any respiratory symptoms, Covid19 symptoms, a positive PCR or lateral flow test or have been asked to self-isolate.
- Please wear a mask when attending our practice and respect our environment.
- We continue to ask that only the patient attends their appointment, unless under 16 years. If it is impossible to attend with only your child that is the patient, please wait outside on our path until you are called for the appointment and are taken directly into the surgery. Please come prepared for all weathers. Please keep small children on your knees.
- Please come prepared with clean teeth, we cannot permit the cleaning of teeth in our bathroom facilities.
- Please observe 2 metre social distancing.
Our staff are working hard to provide a continuous service. Please help us to provide this for you and please try not to intimidate them with challenging behaviour when you are asked to respect our wishes.
Thank you for your understanding,

iTero Digital Scanner - See into the future
When it comes to orthodontic treatment at Anglia Orthodontics, we want the very best results for our patients. To achieve them we need to start with the very best impressions. Fortunately, we have the technology to get them.
State-of-the-art technology
At Anglia Orthodontics, we create a bespoke treatment plan for each of our patients. But our tailor made services don't stop there. Once you have decided to embark on treatment, we'll make sure the appliance you have chosen - whether it be braces of Invisalign aligners - is custom-made for you. However, to create these custom-made appliances, we first need to take impressions of your teeth.
Impressions give us an exact image of your teeth, showing us where they are sitting at the moment and helping us to identify any orthodontic problems. Once upon a time, these impressions were taken using sticky orthodontic cement. Nowadays, they are taken using state-of-the-art technology, like the iTero Element IntraOral scanner.
What is the iTero scanner?
The iTero Element IntraOral scanner is a handheld, digital scanner that allows us to get a precise impression of your teeth. Made up of a small, wand-like device, we are able to capture a 3D model of your teeth and gums. The images the scanner creates can be viewed immediately on a computer screen so you can see the exact positions of your teeth and gums and what needs to be moved into position.
As we operate the digital scanner, we will move it carefully around your mouth to ensure we get a full picture. But because the device is nice and small, this process won't cause any discomfort. You can still swallow, or even sneeze, during the process!
Once the 3D models have been captured, we'll use these to custom-make your orthodontic appliances to get you the very best result possible.
Precise impressions for Invisalign
The iTero Element IntraOral scanner is particularly effective with the Invisalign method. The impressions we take with the scanner can be inserted into the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show you what your teeth will look like after you have finished Invisalign treatment. This means you can see the results of your treatment before you've even started. In other words, the iTero Element IntraOral scanner allows you to see into the future!
