Important message: Coronavirus
Dear Patients,
Government Clarification in healthcare settings: "Face coverings and social distancing measures will remain in place across healthcare settings so that the most vulnerable people can continue to safely attend healthcare settings for advice, care and treatment. And it is important for the public to continue to play their part when visiting NHS and care settings to help protect our staff and patients, particularly those who may be more vulnerable to infections."
When visiting a dentist face coverings, social distancing and hand washing remain fundamentals, not optional extras. Wider changes that take place on Monday will have no impact on how the public should approach accessing our services." British Dental Association.
As a practice we will continue to safeguard our staff and patients.
- Please do not attend our practice if you have any respiratory symptoms, Covid19 symptoms, a positive PCR or lateral flow test or have been asked to self-isolate.
- Please wear a mask when attending our practice and respect our environment.
- We continue to ask that only the patient attends their appointment, unless under 16 years. If it is impossible to attend with only your child that is the patient, please wait outside on our path until you are called for the appointment and are taken directly into the surgery. Please come prepared for all weathers. Please keep small children on your knees.
- Please come prepared with clean teeth, we cannot permit the cleaning of teeth in our bathroom facilities.
- Please observe 2 metre social distancing.
Our staff are working hard to provide a continuous service. Please help us to provide this for you and please try not to intimidate them with challenging behaviour when you are asked to respect our wishes.
Thank you for your understanding,
Anglia Orthodontics

Straighten your teeth at home with Dental Monitoring
Life – it’s busy, but it should never be too busy to smile. Do you have a smile you like to show off, or have you been considering orthodontic treatment and trying to fit it into your busy schedule?
At Anglia Orthodontics, we’ve found a solution. We now offer a way you can enjoy the benefits, and more importantly the results, of orthodontic treatment without needing to find time in your diary for regular visits to our clinic.
It’s called dental monitoring and it means you can have orthodontic treatment from wherever you are.
What is dental monitoring?
Dental monitoring is exciting new technology that enables our specialist orthodontist, Dr Francis Scriven, to monitor your treatment progress remotely. Instead of coming into our clinic, we can keep an eye on the movement of your teeth on a weekly basis. This means less visits to our practice, which is one less thing you have to fit in to your busy schedule, but you still have the peace of mind that we are monitoring your teeth.
How does dental monitoring work?
If you are going ahead with orthodontic treatment, you’ll need to come in for an orthodontic assessment. We need to know how severe your orthodontic treatment needs are and what type of appliance you could benefit from.
If you choose to proceed with Invisalign, the system of virtually invisible aligners that straighten teeth, we’ll provide you with your first set of aligners and set you up with dental monitoring.
Dental monitoring is an app that sits on your smartphone. You’ll be required to regularly upload images of your teeth via the app which we can see. We’ll assess the images you take to make sure your teeth are moving in line with your treatment plan. This incredible tracking system means your treatment is shaped by your own biology and compliance rather than a standard time frame. It also has the potential to speed up treatment.
Benefits of dental monitoring
- Fewer visits to the orthodontic clinic
- Keep up your treatment from wherever you are
- Faster treatment results
- Makes it even easier to fit orthodontic treatment into your lifestyle
- Your orthodontist can assess your teeth in real time
- Greater communication with your orthodontist
So, whether you’re working away from home, travelling for work or pleasure, moving house, or starting a new job, dental monitoring will enable you to still enjoy the results of orthodontic treatment.

Hear from our happy patients
l was referred to Anglia Orthodontics with a pronounced overbite. The opinion of the treatment offered - Invisalign - was honest, due to the movement of my teeth Dr Scriven warned that this treatment may not work. However, I followed advice and wore the aligners and elastic bands as recommended and 17 months later I have straight teeth. I am now finishing the treatment with cleaning and whitening and people have noticed a positive change. What also helped was the Dental Monitoring App which meant that you can have a weekly check without having to make time for more appointments, I have scanned from bathrooms in Austria and Edinburgh! Staff at Anglia Orthodontics have been nothing but friendly, helpful and professional
